The food is good, and the wine is reasonably priced. However, the atmosphere is grim with bright fluorescent tube lights, and little clientele if you don’t count the delivery drivers doing pickup. It was a little pricey considering the hole-in-the-wall vibe.Besides some bog standard dim sum (which is probably not made in house) the menu is mostly Sichuan classics. Even before food arrived I had high hopes because I could hear the cook in the kitchen banging vigorously on the wok--telling me that high temperature stir frying is practiced here. Our order of chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce was rather bland, which is an achievement for any dish containing black beans. The chicken was, however, very tender. Our other dishes were excellent. Broccoli with garlic was redolent with garlic and well seasoned. Fish fragrant aubergine (a dish that is not fish flavoured but stir fried in the same manner as fish with a slightly acidic sauce) was tasty but subtle in it's sweet and sour tones. Lamb with cumin was our best order and contained plenty of coriander stems, which was slightly unusual but a really good combination. The waitress had to scrounge around in the cupboards behind the cash register when we asked for a bottle of red wine. But a decent French Merlot was a bargain at £..

SIMPLY THE BEST - we can’t believe there isn’t more fanfare about this local Cantonese establishment. Being Australian tourists, my wife and I decided to come try this restaurant that was recommended by a friend and boy did this live up to all hype and expectations. The food we ordered was simply exceptional, tasty, authentic and severely hit the spot, curing our craving for Chinese food. We ordered the beef hor fun, mushroom and tofu, sweet and sour pork and stir fried broccoli - we highly recommend trying all these dishes. The attentive service from the lady who served us made our visit very memorable - she attended to our requests with a warm smile.Five stars for an unforgettable combination of great service, authentic flavors, and reasonable prices for London standards!MUST VISIT FOR ANYONE THAT CRAVES DELICIOUS CHINESE FOODVegetarian options: Available

Being local in the area I noticed this new chinese restaurant pop up in the last month or two. It wasn’t busy yet but the food was very authentic and tasty, and great value. Everything we had, I’d order again but I definitely recommend the 干炒牛河 (beef ho fun - great serving size also) and the 口水鸡 if you don’t mind that most traditional Chinese restaurants serve chicken bone in.Also lovely decor - it felt like a proper nice chinese restaurant.
